Volunteer Information

Race Date - Saturday, May 4, 2019

 

We are in need of volunteers to make this event successful. If you are interested in volunteering and you’re running or walking you may still volunteer, just let us know and we will schedule you accordingly.  (Even if you can come for just an hour, we appreciate your help!)  All dates and times listed below are tentative until the day of the race is finalized.  

To sign up to be a volunteer, go to the Volunteer Sign Up Page and fill out the form to help us out. This event is not as successful as it has been without all of the hardworking volunteers.  

 

Event Set-Up:
  • Friday, May 3 12:00 pm - 7:00 pm 

  • Help in the NYE gymnasium with vendor table set-up, registration booth and awards table. Help in the MPR with breakfast set-up.

 

Silent Auction Setup:
  • Friday, May 3 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm  

  • Help setup the items for the Raffle the day before the race.  

Registration:
  • Saturday, May 4 7:00 am - 9:00 am  

  • Help check in runners, pass out packets, t-shirts and race bibs.


Raffle Race Day:
  • Saturday, May 4 7:00 am - 1:00 pm  

  • Different volunteer shifts needed.  Day of the race work the raffle, collect payments and hand-out items after purchase.

Race Course Marshall:
  • Saturday, May 4 7:30 am - 10:00 am 

  • Stand along the race course and help cheer on runners, give directions and help any runners that might need it. Family and friends groups can be requested.

 

Race Line Runner:
  • Saturday, May 4 7:30 am - 10:00 am  

  • Course Marshal Driver drop-off & pick-up, assistant to the DJ, assistant to the race timer, starting line front person, and finish line to pass out medals.

 

Clean up after the race:
  • Saturday, May 4 11:00 am - 1:30 pm 

  • Help take down course signage and pick up water bottles, clean-up in lunchroom after the breakfast and overseeing gym to make sure it is presentable.

 

Calling All High School Students
  • Do you need Service Hour Credits? High school students that need community hours can get 3 hours easily by volunteering at the race.
